I need a scanner. It needs to be a flatbed, at least normal page size, and it needs to be good for traditional artwork. I also need it to not be a thousand dollars. And it would be really great if it wasn't a piece of crap.
Anyone have any suggestions, reviews, warnings for scanners? When I go to look there are too many and I simply have no idea what things I should be looking for for what I want. And honestly, I never trust asking salespeople. I'd rather ask someone who DOESN'T have a vested interest in selling me something.
So ... anyone? Bueller?

Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't.
